Tech Valley Communications appoints CFO
ALBANY, NY -- Tech Valley Communications has appointed a financial executive with more than 30 years experience in business as its chief financial officer.
Andrew R. Ragogna recently joined Tech Valley Communications, the only locally owned, facilities-based Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) in Tech Valley. Prior to joining the company, Ragogna served as vice president/chief administration and compliance officer at the New York Independent System Operator in Guilderland since 2003. He also served as chief financial officer at the NYISO, which is responsible for coordinating the reliability of the electric system in New York state and administering New Yorks competitive electricity markets, from its start up in 1999 until 2003.
Previously, Ragogna served as chairman of KeySpan Energys Competitive Market Implementation Team and was the treasurer of the Long Island Lighting Company. During his tenure at LILCO, he raised more than $5 billion in capital markets financing.
Andy brings a wide breadth of experience in financial management, strategic planning, administration and project management to Tech Valley Communications, said CEO Kevin OConnor. We are pleased to have someone with his talents and experience join our team.
Ragogna has a bachelors degree in mechanical engineering from the New York Institute of Technology and a masters degree in industrial management from the State University of New York, Stony Brook.
He is a resident of Rexford.
