Tech Valley Communications Promotes Daggett to Chief Business Development Officer

ALBANY, NY -- Tech Valley Communications (TVC), the only locally owned, facilities-based Competitive Local Exchange Carrier (CLEC) in the Tech Valley Region, announced that J. Robert Daggett has been promoted to Chief Business Development Officer.

"Rob has proved to be an asset since he started here several years ago," said Kevin O'Connor, CEO, Tech Valley Communications. "He brings incredible knowledge, energy and dedication to his work, and has been instrumental in the tremendous growth and sustained financial strength of TVC."

In his new role, Daggett is responsible for strategic partnerships and carrier relations. He also oversees marketing and new product development.

Formerly Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Daggett has been with TVC since 2002. He grew TVC's "Campus Tech," the educational division of TVC that brings high-speed telecommunications and data services to local colleges, universities and K-12 institutions and was instrumental in the marketing strategy behind TVC's new fiber to the premises offering, FIRSTLIGHT. Before joining TVC, Daggett worked for Realtech, a regional technology consulting firm, and was a National Account Manager for MCI Communications.

Daggett resides in Latham with his wife and children. He is a graduate of Siena College.
