Customer Care Representative
These positions involve "front line" interaction with the customers of Tech Valley Communications... before, during and after connection to our network. They require heavy telephone contact with the public and extensive contact (via computer, telephone and fax) with other telephone service providers and other divisions of Tech Valley Communications.
A working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, is required, as well as documented customer service experience. Employees must become familiar with Tech Valley Communications’ product offerings, rates and customer base to be able to respond professionally to customer queries.

Network Technician
Install, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair transmission equipment and telecommunications circuits. Maintain complete documentation of all work performed. Compile and submit reports as required. Maintain a company vehicle. Work independently and alone for extended periods of time. Respond to network problems on a 24-hour basis. Interface with customers and carriers.
Successful technicians must be self-motivated team players, combining first-rate communications skills with excellent problem solving abilities. Some of the functions required in this position are:

  1. Oversee installation of equipment within our co-location and POP facilities.
  2. Supervise various contractors to ensure Tech Valley Communications’ standards are met.
  3. Coordinate various contractors to ensure due date compliance.
  4. Implement any changes or upgrades to these sites.
  5. Assist in design and layout on new or existing sites.
  6. Ensure quality installations of racks, cabinets, DC power systems, electrical and fiber cabling, fiber ducts, ladder racking, and other installation activities.
  7. Respond to building and co-location problems beyond normal working hours.
  8. Install various copper cables, fiber and mixing equipment.
  9. Perform cabling.

Account Executive
Candidates should have a proven track record and experience selling telecommunications products. Only energetic, aggressive achievers with previously demonstrated abilities will be considered. The requirements listed below are representative of the skill and abilities necessary:

  1. Must have demonstrated success in telecommunications sales to end-user customers, including large businesses.
  2. Experience in systems selling, consultative sales techniques and account planning, needs analysis, sales opportunity development, and long-range account management strategies.
  3. Strong inter-personal skills, including planning, goal-setting, resource allocation and negotiation. Communications via direct personal, telephone, and correspondence is required.
  4. General knowledge related to network and switching, product knowledge of both switched and dedicated services, Centrex and PBX, and associated end-use and carrier applications.
  5. Operational understanding of telecommunications ordering, provisioning and billing process.
